Amira Green is a native of Baltimore, Maryland, a graduate of the Baltimore School for the Arts and current student and the Maryland Institute College of Art. Working primarily in painting and printmaking, Amira focuses on creating work that highlights and aestheticizes afrocentric features that are otherwise stereotyped, through means of figurative abstraction. In her work, she explores themes of disorientation, marginalization, and generalization resulting from historical and current oppression, and its affects on black self image.
Precious Blake is a community arts organizer and illustrator living and working in Baltimore, MD. Precious received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration with a concentration in Printmaking at the Maryland Institute College of Art. She is dedicated to serving underrepresented artists in Baltimore through community programming, event organizing, and public art.
